Savings Secret For Back To School Style

I don’t’ recall if I’ve ever
written a blog post about “Back To School” style. I do however remembered that
time when I was still a poor student, refreshing my wardrobe was probably the
last thing I had in mind for the new semester. And now that I’m a 32-year old,
this becomes even a lesser concern or relevant. But hey, if you ask me what my savings
secret is and my take on uber stylish back-to-school styles, I definitely
have some ideas.
Continuing my collaboration with
Alberta’s premium shopping outlet CrossIron Mills and as a member of the ‘Savings
Secret’ Style Panel, below are my picks for this season – Getting the
entire look at CrossIron Mills for just under $200:

The look:
Athletic top: Joe Fresh
Graphic shorts: Adidas
Footwear: Puma
Dr. Who socks: Murdawg Apparel
Puppy pochette: Air & Ocean Import
Fashion in active wear has come a
long way. It is no longer clothes just for somebody who's actually engaging in sports. We see that many fashion houses have dapped into creating
collections inspired by the concept of athleticism - athletically inspired
designs that can be worn in or out of the game. Especially for the gents, edgy
sport looks have flourished the street style community. Take it from designs
like Philipp Plein, Moschino, Givenchy or Moncler.
Revival of 90’s pop culture is
also strong recently (funny that I was once a 90’s child and everything is
seemingly so familiar), with illustrations, cartoons and icons from that era
blooming in ready-to-wear as dramatic prints. Boys of this modern age have the
chance to experience the culture of the 90’s, while some of us get to relive
them.
Most of us will not be spending a ton of money on expensive clothes (remember the poor student scenario). To achieve that sport-edgy look ready for back to school – My pick this season is to go for
sportswear such as Adidas, Nike and Puma. All of them have really evolved from ‘traditional’ sports attire to making modern athletic fashion statements. For basic cutting and minimalistic approach, you can also try Joe Fresh (we love to support Canadian designs). Don’t be shy to mix-and-match with accessories that have the 90s signature written all over them.
It is a new school year after all, so make it fun, playful and vibrant!
Do the things you love with passion; Learn from those you admire; Strive to become an expert at what you do xx
