Collaboration is the formula to create something extraordinary, and what is better than having the great minds that think alike come together to create a project that benefits the community? To kick off the Calgary Stampede this year, Holt Renfrew has worked with six talented designers: Anzie, Dean Davidson, Ela, Mackage, Paige, Smythe, and Tanya Taylor to create a series of unique one-of-a-kind cowboy hats to celebrate the largest outdoor rodeos in Canada, and to donate to the charity. On June 25th at 6:30pm inside Holt Renfrew CORE Shopping Centre, these featured cowboy hats will be opened to guests for live auction. The proceeds will benefit the Calgary Health Trust’s Best Beginning Program.
The one and only Jeanne Beker (host of Bell Media’s Fashion Television) will be hosting the fashion presentation and live auction components of the evening. Joining us at the fashion presentation include Calgary’s favourite and fearless models including Ann McCaig, Board Chair of Calgary Health Trust, Julia Dunstall, Calgary- born international model, W. Brett Wilson, entrepreneur and chairman of Prairie Merchant Corporation, Kelley McKinlay and Reilly Bell, Alberta Ballet company dancers, Jason Krell and Aly Velji, The Style Guys, Sam Edney, three-time Olympian, Connie DeSousa and John Jackson of Top Chef and Calgary’s Charcut, Bret Hart, professional WWE/WWF wrestler and Matt Masters, country singer and songwriter.
Showing their enthusiastic support for the Calgary Health Trust to help promote the evening are “muses” who have generously posed for portraits in the designer hats, including Laureen Harper, Gilmore Junio, Olympic athlete, Ken King, President and CEO of the Calgary Flames Hockey Club and Heather Marks, Calgary-born international model.
In addition to the proceeds collected from the live auction, 10% of the proceeds from the shopping at the Holt Renfrew that evening will also be donated to the Calgary Health Trust’s Best Beginning Program.
