Veuve Clicquot Launches “Yelloweek” in Alberta

"Tribute to Creativity" Showcased Throughout Calgary and Edmonton
Veuve Clicquot is proud to announce the Alberta launch of Yelloweek, a festival-style ‘tribute to creativity’ showcasing gastronomy, arts, fashion and lifestyle.

Taking place from May 19-24 inclusive, Calagarians and Edmontonians are invited to explore and enjoy a series of creatively-inspired events spanning several categories, including: Yellow FASHION, Yellow STREET, Yellow BY THE GLASS and Yellow KITCHEN

Veuve Clicquot’s Yelloweek was created as a tribute to artists and artisans who push the boundaries of their respective creative fields every day – much like Madame Clicquot did in her time. Overcoming countless obsta- cles, la veuve (the widow) Clicquot became one of the most successful women entrepreneurs of the 19th century and built a worldwide luxury brand, founded on artisan practices and uncompromising quality.

Celebrations culminate with Yellow FASHION on May 22nd, in Calgary at Mango Shiva. The soirée will feature a unique Veuve Clicquot-inspired capsule collection designed by 13 students from the Alberta Fashion Institute and two pieces presented by local talent, MALIKA Couture and Emogene Couture. Top cosmetic brand, Guerlain, will treat guests to a beatifying touch-up during a Champagne reception prior to the show, while DJ Nathan Hedley will spin funky house to close out the night. Tickets to Yellow FASHION can be purchased online at: www.fashioncalgary.ca/events

“Yelloweek reflects the legendary qualities of the Maison and the ‘joie de vivre’ the brand is known for around the world,” said Stephane de Meurville, general manager of Moët Hennessy Canada. “Festival-goers will experi- ence the true essence of the Veuve Clicquot world – taste, innovation, glamour, refinement, celebration, heritage and zeste de folie.”

Events taking place throughout Alberta include:

Yellow STREET (Calgary): With each purchase of a glass of Veuve Clicquot at Mango Shiva and V Lounge, there will be either preferential pricing on a second glass or a complimentary appetizer.

Yellow BY THE GLASS (Edmonton): Special Veuve Clicquot pricing will be offered at various restaurants, including: Tzin Wine and Tapas and Woodwork.

Yellow KITCHEN (Edmonton): Chef Eric Hanson from North 53 and Host Darcy Kaser from Call The Kettle Black join forces on May 21st to present inspiring culinary delights paired with Veuve Clicquot.

In addition to taking place in Alberta, Yelloweek will also travel to Vancouver (May 22-May 24).

(photos: Binzento)
This year marked the 30th Anniversary of Images Models internatinal modeling agency. I was delighted to be invited recently to join their celebration. It was also the founder of Images Models, Pat Collins' birthday. An opportunity to meet & greet with new faces, catching up with old friends and be inspired by the talents. Images Models' dedication to the fashion industry - 30 years of experience, 30 years of integrity, 30 years of beauty - and best wishes to continue to grow in the next 30.
