Did I tell you Binzento Vincente is one of Bust-A-Move 2013 social media ambassadors? (Or they call it the "BaMbassador":)). Bust-A-Move is a community fundraiser event, celebrating positive advancement for breast health. The movement started in Halifax in 2010 and now had spread across Canada. In YYC, Bust-A-Move is a part of a major health awareness events by the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Motionball YYC 2013/ Emilio Pucci AW13/14 Milan Fashion Week

1. Motionball YYC 2013
(Photos by: Binzento - silly me though, forgot to bring my camera, all of the photos below were shot with my iPhone :p)
Annual fundraiser event for the Special Olympics Canada - the Motionball "NEVER" Gala 2013 happened Friday night at the YYC's Flames Central. It was a great turn out - VIP guests got a head start in the evening with live music and special presentation. The venue got busier and busier as the night progressed; when the general admission crowd began to joined in for the party :). Most people showed up in their impressive "dress-to-impress" black and white attire, the signature "colors" for this year's NEVER gala theme.

I had to a chance to briefly spoke to some of the special Olympians. I'm very proud of our special Canadian athletes who'd worked so hard to achieve great success, and won so many medals for our country. Of course, part of their success too thanks to people who contributed to the charity. The event had raised $65K for the the Special Olympics Canada, which will continue to support our athletes in need, and to fulfill their dreams to compete in sports - WAY TO GO YYC.

2. Emilio Pucci AW13/14
(Special thanks to Sonny Vandevelde for the photos)
OK. Seriously. You know how I said from my previous post that Just Cavalli is one of my favourite collections this season in Milan Fashion Week? I scratch that - because Emilio Pucci had official won my heart. It was a brilliant collection - classy and fun. It's like playing dress-up with paper dolls; very well executed and intricately captured the modern day-to-day life of a chic girl.

Harry Rosen Spring/Summer Preview

Harry Rosen SS Preview
(Photos by: Binzento Vincente)
While all of our eyes (or at least mine) were on AW13/14 fashion week in Milan, lets not forget to replenish our wardrobe ready for this SS. Binzento Vincente was invited to preview SS men's wear merchandize from Harry Rosen (Canada's leading quality men's wear retailer) few days ago at the CORE's Devonian Gardens. This SS is celebrated with warm and boisterous colors. Solid colored suits and shirts for men are as simple and sophisticated as it gets, but matching unexpectedly colorful trousers and adding detailed accessories surely will increase the excitement of the complete look.
"Understanding color is fundamental to dressing well," says Paul E. Smith, Fashion Communications Manager of Harry Rosen. "For men who still find the idea of incorporating color into their look intimidating, we suggest you start slowly and add flashes of color to your wardrobe, like a colorful pocket square, tie or a patterned sock."
Harry Rosen is focusing on suits in slimmer silhouette, classic polos, patterned accessories, and my favourite the bomber jackets. In addition to carrying an exclusive line of Just Cavalli, I am thrilled to see the brought back of  New Balance "Made in England" - a footwear collection that holds dearly close to my heart since my days in Asia. I think I might just have to buy a pair to bring back the good o'days. Big thanks to Courtney Beckett and Michael Peters from Harry Rosen for inviting me to the preview, and the cute Cucina paper-bagged breakfast they prepared for everyone.

Just Cavalli AW13/14 and Gucci AW13/14

Just Cavalli AW13/14
Just Cavalli, a youthful and energetic line by Roberto Cavalli is pumping the chilled & silent AW13/14 season with an upbeat & loud theme in Milan Fashion Week. We see African animal prints, European knit wear and silouettes and Asian royalty designs such as lotus flowers and dragons - It's a mesh of colorful multiculturalism, united as one.

Gucci AW13/14
Gucci kept it minimal, and dangerously glamorous. The girls looked absolutely chic in angular blazers and waist-line focused dresses. The dark tones always play well during AW. Gucci is bringing us the femme fatale with a modern twist.
