Banana Republic Winter Collection Inspired by Anna Karenina
Banana Republic new winter collection Anna Karenina is inspired by the novel (1877) of the same name. Written by Russian writer Leo Tolstoy, the story is a tragic tale of a woman name Anna Karenina, who was a married aristocrat and socialite. It's a battle of personal and social issues, as Anna Karenina tries to cope with her interpersonal relationships while maintaining her social status in the upper-class society. The novel was adapted into various theatre and film productions. Banana Republic's Anna Karenina collection emphasizes the opulent lifestyle of Russian aristocrats during the late 1800's. Added are military designs and modern sophistication to translate "the story" into the present time. Using black shade as the main focus creates mysterious and chic flavors. There are little over 50 pieces in this collection for women including dresses, faux fur stole, clutches, accessories and capes. For men there are about 20 pieces including double breasted coat, wool houndstooth top coat and pants.
