The Heart Truth YYC Fashion Show

Heart & Stroke Foundation...
The Heart Truth YYC Fashion Show...
was here!!
Last night's on 8th Ave Place, downtown YYC, was the long waited The Heart Truth Fashion Show. Prior to the show, there was a brief mingling time at the cocktail party, where you could also have some photobooths fun and light bites of snacks. There was also a beaaauuutiful red chocolate dress made by one of the chefs. Everyone was pretty glammed up in either red or red accented attire for this formal charity event, which sixty percent of the night's donation will go towards the Heart and Stroke Foundation reserach.
The show started with a showcase of 11 local fashion designers designed the ultimate heart truth outfits for 12 local celebrities:
Marsina King for Sophie Serafino (international violinist)
Haithem Elkadiki for Tara Slone (CityTV Breakfast TV)
Rachel Haggerty for Jill Belland (CityTV Breakfast TV)
Aleem Arif for Zahra Al Harazi (CEO Foundry Communication)
Chantel Traub for Tara Nelson (CTV News)
Rebecca King for Diane Jones-Konihowski (Olympic athlete & Heart Truth council member)
Anya Getzlaf for Sandra Jansen (MLA, YYC-Northwest/Chair, Calgary Cacus)
Malika Rajani for Dr. Kimberly Amirault-Ryan (sport performance consultant)
Lara Presber for Linda Olsen (Global TV News)
Tara Niscak for Michelle Cameron (Olympic gold medalist)
Tracey Wardkerr for Sunday Omony (model & humanitarian)
Haithem Elkadiki for W. Brett Wilson (entrepreneur/philanthropist)
The pieces were put up for auctions later that evening for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The night continued with fashion merchandize from sponsor Chinook Centre: models from Sophia Model International graced the runway wearing pieces from Bellisima, The Bay, Jack & Jones, Banana Republic, Scotch and Soda, and Lacoste.

The last leg of the evening showcased Paul Hardy collection. Paul Hardy personally couldn't attend to this event as he is currently in Paris. His work revealed talent in Canadian designs. There was a live performance at the end while the 12 Heart Truth fashion pieces meet the audience once more on the runway.
The Heart Truth Fashion Show was very well organized thanks to Jacqueline Tyler and her team. The whole point of the show was to bring awareness and help The Heart Stroke Foundation. I think this mission was made, where Calgarians could truly experience a night of fashion for a charitable cause. Below are more photos of the evening :):
