Burberry Prorsum Men SS13 runway show that happened in Milan earlier surprised me with a full blown metallic theme. The exaggerated metallic colors (orange, yellow, blue, green, red etc…), which were something beyond the classic Burberry gave this collection a futuristic attitude. Bomber jackets, slim fit suits, and shimmery shades were highlighted for Burberry Prorsum this season. The overall impression of Burberry Prorsum Men SS13 collection was clean and sleek, and the playfulness designs really segregated itself apart from any other label of the current showcase.

Here is something completely different. Dolce & Gabbana Men SS13 on the other hand, played the culturally inspired theme this season. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana personally scouted Sicilian men that were not professional male models to walk/rock the runway. Although focusing on the Mediterranian natural beauty and personality. I, in fact, actually found it contained a strong sense of Latin American flavor. Dolce & Gabbana successfully created the summer heat in this show. It almost felt like you were on an actual summer vacation. There was also a subtle romance feel in it. In artistic perspective, I liked the highly detailed illustrations, and architecturally complicated prints on shirts and trousers. What I didn't like though, was their attempt to launch something that seemed to have been done by other fashion houses past summer. In other words - all too familiar.
